Terms of Service
Last updated: October 26, 2026
These terms are a template for the Launchkit beta and are not legal advice. Governing law and jurisdiction are placeholders that must be completed with counsel before you rely on them publicly.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Launchkit. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you are using Launchkit on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
The service
Launchkit accepts a website URL and produces a technical SEO audit and a generated product launch video. The audit includes crawl-based checks and a Lighthouse run. The video is built from screenshots of your site, DOM-derived brand tokens, an AI-written script, AI-generated voiceover, and a rendered MP4. Features and limits may change during the beta.
Acceptable use
- Only submit sites you are allowed to test. You must own each website you add, or have written permission from the owner to audit and capture it. The attestation you check at project creation is a representation that this is true.
- No third-party crawling. Do not use Launchkit to audit, screenshot, or scrape sites you do not control or have permission to test.
- No illegal or harmful content. Do not use the service to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or that promotes harm.
- No bypassing access controls. Do not attempt to make the service crawl authenticated areas, paywalls, or sites that block automated access.
- No abuse of resources. Do not attempt to overload rendering, circumvent project limits, probe other accounts, or interfere with the service.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these rules, and we may remove content that we reasonably believe infringes rights or breaks the law.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction; the service is not directed to children under 16.
AI-generated output
Scripts, narration, suggested metadata, and fixes are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing every claim before you publish a video or ship a change. In particular, you are responsible for factual claims, product promises, and legal or regulatory statements made in videos you publish. Launchkit does not guarantee rankings, traffic, conversions, or revenue.
Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your website content, trademarks, and other materials you submit. We own the Launchkit platform, its software, and its templates. To produce your outputs, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and reproduce your submitted content solely for the purpose of running audits, generating videos, and providing the service to you. That licence ends when you delete the relevant project or account, except for residual copies in backups.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to use any content you submit, including logos, images, and copy.
Payment and free tier
Launchkit is currently free during the beta, with a limit of five projects per account. No payment method is required. If we introduce paid plans, we will give notice before charging and will not retroactively charge for a period you already used for free. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to a future paid plan.
Availability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to keep it running, but we do not offer a service-level agreement during the beta. Maintenance, upstream provider outages, or failed renders may interrupt the service. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Launchkit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes your projects, audits, videos, jobs, and stored assets, and signs you out. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, abuse, or legal requirements. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the courts of [insert venue]. Replace both placeholders with your actual governing law and venue before publishing these Terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
